Health Examination
As part of our employment procedures employees are required to undergo a medical examination which may include alcohol and drug screening, conducted by a physician designated by Baywood. Any offer of employment an applicant receives from Baywood is contingent upon, among other things, satisfactory completion of this examination and screening and a determination by Baywood and its examining physicians that the applicant is capable of performing the essential functions of the position that has been offered, with or without reasonable accommodation.

As a condition of continued employment employees may also be required to undergo periodic medical examinations and/or alcohol and drug screening at times specified by Baywood. Employees are required to provide Baywood with access to these medical records if requested. Further, it should be understood that Baywood receives a full medical report from its examining physicians regarding the applicant’s or employee’s state of health. All Baywood-required medical examinations and alcohol and drug screening will be paid in full by Baywood.

The first 90 days of continuous employment at Baywood is considered an introductory period. During this time you will learn your job responsibilities, get acquainted with other employees, and determine whether the position meets your expectations. Also, during this time your supervisor will closely monitor your performance.

If your performance is satisfactory and Baywood decides to continue your employment, we will advise you of improvements expected from you. If additional orientation and training are necessary, the introductory period may be extended up to an additional 60 days.
